CWDM technology was developed to combine up to eight fiber connections and reduce costs in long-distance fiber installations.

Coarse Wavelength-Division Multiplexing (CWDM) (Kaba Dalga Boyu Bölmeli Çoklama) technology provides a solution to increase capacity.
Since multiple channels/wavelengths can be provided on a single fiber cable, it does not incur additional costs.

The MikroTik CWDM is a passive MUX / DEMUX unit that combines up to eight fiber connections. At the other location, the combined line is split again, so you will only need one fiber cable instead of eight long fiber cables.

Our CWDM solution allows signals to be transmitted and received over wavelengths ranging from 1470 nm to 1610 nm. A dual-directional fiber cable connects to two CWDM MUX / DEMUX units and supports the same wavelengths at both ends of the fiber optic network. Each CWDM unit has a filter set for a device.

Therefore, the specific wavelength must be connected to the correct port.
