Meet your versatile friend: NetMetal ax, the powerful, long-distance outdoor access point that succeeds in any environment. Designed for extra durability, this product can be installed almost anywhere with ease; you can open and close it with one hand. With IP66 protection, it will be protected from dust and powerful water jets in environments such as damp ceilings, elevator shafts, moving platforms, or coastal towers. No terrain is too challenging for the Mars explorer NetMetal ax!

It includes a modern dual-core ARM CPU, Gigabit Ethernet and fiber connection for 2.5 Gigabit SFP, a USB port, and a free miniPCIe slot for further customization. For example, you can add a mobile internet backup with an LTE modem; we added a NanoSIM slot to NetMetal! However, other options are also available, such as adding a network gateway like R11e-LR8 for LoRa IoT setups!

A strong dual-band, dual-stream Wi-Fi 6 radio offers higher speeds, reliability, security, roaming, power management, and other features compared to previous wireless protocols. Two RP-SMA connectors allow you to choose an antenna for distances up to 30 kilometers.* You can adapt NetMetal ax for lower-range use with antennas like our HGO-antenna-OUT vial omnidirectional antenna. It provides 3.3 dBi gain in the 2.4 GHz band and 5.5-7.1 dBi gain in the 5 GHz band.

Here's a small bonus feature: We kept the old reliable call device for various alarms or creative outputs.

*While longer connections are possible, reliability may vary. The achievable distance is also largely dependent on the chosen antenna for the use case.
